Depends on whether people can keep getting the started kit. If they start with logs and coal they could just keep doing the command to get more. But if you only get it once, that's fine.
If you could get it multiple time I'd say only have the stone tools, a crafting table and furnace.

Orly? All you have to do is download it then go to ur bin folder in your .minecraft folder in %appdata% then make sure the minecraft is renamed to minecraft with no capitals or anything

lol u see when i updated i went to minecraft. bin and then i removed the minecraft 1.2.5 jar file and put it on my desktop. when i updated it just replaced it with 1.3.1 jar file. now all i had to do when i wanted to go back to 1.2.5 was go to minecraft. bin and take my 1.2.5 folder and put it in the bin folder and click move and replace and done. ill be at 1.2.5 again..
