Our ban commands (low mod+ only)

Can someone explain to me our ban commands? So far I learned:

"/ban (bans a player currently online)"
"/tempban [timebanned]" (temporarily bans a player that is currently online for a certain amount of time.
"/banip" (bans the IP of a certain player, it gives me a confirmation that the player is banned even if they aren't online, but I always seem to see them the next day for some reason).
"/kick" (kicks a player)
"/eban" (??????????????????????????)

So I have 2 questions:
1. Does /banip actually ban offline people?
2. What does /eban do?

I think eban is even worse than IP ban, I think it makes a player completely impossible to still join the server without REALLY wanting to.
But i'm not a mod so i'm not sure

I've found a great plugin to fend off proxies and such.

Its called EasyBan.

What it is? It is a very good plugin banning proxies were they rage because they can't hack again!

I advise that this not be added for mod or untrusted admins.

I think we need a new ban plugin. easy bans doesn't work, even after i eban someone, if i do the easy bans list commands, i don't see any players listed as ebanned. It doesn't even give a notification saying something like "sorry, no usernames found" or something like that. The server doesn't do anything when I input the command, but it doesn't tell me it's an unknown command, so it must just be nonfunctional

I think we need to find a plugin that let's you ban and ip ban players that are offline. I'll look for one when I get the chance.

Eban = Banning while offline.
