Size (can't be an empire unless you have a shit ton of land!)

Military Strength (this includes navies, armies, air forces, etc.)

Location (for example, owning a piece of Antarctica, the Northwest Territories or central Australia really doesn't mean much since no one lives there, BRITAIN)

Economy

Type of Government

Efficiency of Government

Standard of Living

Culture

Military influence

Cultural influence

Economic influence

Morals (kinda goes with culture, but this is really significant)

No much information we know about is the Olmecs, one of the first civilization in south america.
The chinease (FUck them -_-) had a series of dynasties that infurenced alot.
The Han Dynasty (Circa. 220 B.C.-220 A.D) was the one that created The Silk Road, oe of the best and greatest trading routes/cultural spread. It was a few thousand miles long.
OH I FROGOT THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA, that protected many ivasions from the Mongol tribes from the north of china.
The pyramids, one of the most mysterious built and wonders of the world, was built in egypt. The largest pyramids at Giza, Egypt, were built for Pharaoh Khufu. (Circa. 2300 B.C.-2200 B.C)

I actually had most of those in the poll, but I needed to remove them due to a limit on poll options. So I just put the ones that most people tend to remember the most.

For those of you wondering why the hell the US is up there, it's because of how imperial it is. We barely decolonized our overseas territories (like Europeans did) and continue to force our will on several countries through threats, economic sanctions, and war. Furthermore, we (as far as I know) have the biggest and strongest economy in history (well, for the private sector at least, our government has been broke as shit for quite a bit, just taking out loans to fund projects, and then taking out more loans to paying those loans, then paying those loans we used to pay for the first loans with more loans, and so on)

uh, it was a collection of very small islands that was united under a monarch. So no, it isn't. It has little to no influence outside of its original borders, and like I said earlier, it's too small.

But there are a lot of countries there that are just in alliance with the Americans, so those parts don't give an accurate view on empire spread or whatever. xD (sorry if i didn't make much sense there).
