Plugin Recommendation

Hello everyone. I was recently on a few different servers trying to see what plugins we could get to make the server better. One of them had a rank plugin where in a certain interval of time when playing on the server you would be ranked up. We could use this to our advantage, since we already have a timed rank system. This would benefit our members that play on the server for long periods of time a day, but haven't been with us for very long. Alot of our timed rank members played for 1 day and then left the server for a year and are now Loyal, this isn't very fair so this could help out with this as well. We could still use our other rankup system as well as this one. I have come up with some numbers for the times you have to play to be ranked up. Another benefit is that you wouldn't have to have a staff member on in order to get ranked, hence the name AutoRank.

Elite:200 Hours
Veteran:500 Hours
Loyal:1000 Hours

I hope you will think about the plugin and the good it could do for the server.

First, before installing any plugin, you must make sure it is compatible with the existing one. So I can not vote as of now. But I like your thinking

Believe it or not, this type of plugin was already suggested a while back, but i think it was turned down..

you should change the numbers, it should be 2 hours a day x how many days it takes to become that rank now

ex 2 x 30 = 60 hours for elite

So on the scale of a 30 day month and 1 hour a day:
90 hours= elite (3 months)
150 hours= veteran (5 months)
360 hours= loyal (12 months)


2 years+ should get a new rank in my opinion because there is so few and something for loyals to look forward to (maybe a customizable rank name????)

The suggestion that was struck down by [a few] staff members was about letting people wait for membership in addition to being allowed to make a member application if they didn't want to wait. Alex is suggesting something different.

Actually, you're right, this is different. The one that was declined, auto ranked guests to members, this one will/or could be programmed, to rank Members from the Member rank all the way up to the loyal rank. That I can agree with.

Yeah, mine isn't for ranking guests to members. It's for the timed ranks like Elite, Veteran, and Loyal.

What happened to the idea "we" were discussing? about registering on the forums for month ranks etc

I would really enjoy this also, mainly because me and katie are on almost everyday, all day. Yesterday i was on at 6:00 am (eastern time) and didnt get off till maybe 9:30 pm, i Skyped granjor, and then got back on the server. Thats practically all day. If we were to put all the hours in like koopa said, i would probably have at least veteran. I fully recommend this.
